Given series follows the rule of

1050/2.5 = 420
420/2.5 = 168
168/2.5 = 67.2
so 67.2/2.5 = 26.88

14 x 2 - 1 = 27

27 x 4 - 3 = 105

105 x 6 - 5 = 625 (not 525)

625 x 8 - 7 = 4993

Hence, the odd man or number in the given number series is 525.

Milk = 3/5 x 20 = 12 liters, water = 8 liters

If 10 liters of mixture are removed, amount of milk removed = 6 liters and amount of water removed = 4 liters.
