A semi-mechanised car park, the first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who hoped the facility would ease traffic congestion in and around Lal Chowk. The multi-level car park, located near the old KMD bus stand on Maulana Azad Road, has been set up at a cost of Rs 27.15 crore and has a capacity to hold 288 vehicles.

Teams of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) would inspect the excavation being carried out at an archaeological site in Haryana’s Fatehabad district to verify claims of it being the oldest civilisation in the world. Archaeologists have recovered artefacts pre-dating the Harappan Civilisation from the site, located in village Kunal in Fatehabad district.

 The UP government changed the name of Gorakhpur and Agra Airports as well as the name of the department of welfare of the differently abled.

 The Gorakhpur Airforce Station has been renamed as Mahayogi Goraknath Airport after the founder of the Nath monastic movement.

The Agra Airport will be renamed after Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay airport. The Department of Disabled Welfare will now be known as 'Divyang Jan Vikas Empowerment'.
