Succus Entericus is the alkaline secretion produced by glands in the wall of the duodenum, consisting of water, mucoproteins, and hydrogencarbonate ions.

Succus Entericus is secreted by Crypts of Lieberkuhn.

It helps to counteract the highly acidic and proteolytic chyme entering the small intestine from the stomach, and thus protects the duodenum from damage.

In Mitosis, one parent cell divides into 2 daughter cells with identical chromosomal number. However, in Meiosis, one diploid parent cell divides into 4 haploid daughter cells.

Deoxyribose, which is a pentose, and a phosphate group are the two molecules together form the two sides of the DNA i.e, A sugar (deoxyribose) and a phosphate.

DNA is a double-stranded molecule twisted into a helix (think of a spiral staircase).
