A modem is nothing but short for Modulator and Demodulator. It is used mostly for connecting to the internet.

1 + 4 = 5 => 1 x 4 + 1 = 5

2 + 5 = 12 => 2 x 5 + 2 = 12

3 + 6 = 21 => 3 x 6 + 3 = 21
