Let distance = x km.
Time taken at 3 kmph : dist/speed = x/3 = 20 min late.
time taken at 4 kmph : x/4 = 30 min earlier
difference between time taken : 30-(-20) = 50 mins = 50/60 hours.
x/3- x/4 = 50/60
x/12 = 5/6
x = 10 km.

We can get this by any of two explanations.

Answer 1: 41

7 = 3 + 4  = 34

Similarly, 5 = 4 + 1  = 41

Answer 2 :  41

7 - 3 = 4  => 34

Similarly, 5 - 4 = 1  => 41

Given Transition is to Change, and we know that Transition and change are Synonyms. Similarly, Immobility means not moving and synonym of immobility are motionlessness, stillness,...

Hence, Transition is to change as immobility is to stillness.

$$\begin{gathered} 13 x ? + 47 x 114 x 539 = 31100 x 2000 \\ ? = 378 x 3 \\ ? = 1134 \end{gathered}$$

Let the sum be Rs. x

a. gives, S.I = Rs. 9000 and time = 9 years.

b. gives, Sum + S.I for 6 years = 2 x Sum

--> Sum = S.I for 6 years.

Now, S.I for 9 years = Rs. 9000

S.I for 1 year = Rs. 9000/9 = Rs. 1000.

S.I for 6 years = Rs. (1000 x 6)= Rs. 6000.

--> x = Rs. 6000

Thus, both a and b are necessary to answer the question.

Here the pattern it follows is

514

514 - 44 = 470

470 - 33 = 437

437 - 22 = 415

415 - 11 = 404

Hence, the missing number in the given number series is 437.

Clearly, alternatively we add and subtract 10% of a term to obtain the next term of the series.
Thus, 10000 + (10% of 10000)= 11000;
11000 - (10% of 11000) = 9900;
 9900 + (10% of 9900)  = 10890;
10890 - (10% of 10890) = 9801.
 9801 + (10% of 9801)  = 9801+980 = 10781.
So, missing term = 10890- (10% of 10890)= 9801.
