I.  (a - 3)(a - 4) = 0

=> a = 3, 4

II.   (b - 2)(b - 1) = 0

=> b = 1, 2

=> a > b

48, 54, 63, 81 and 105 are divisible by 3 but not 35.

3, 7, 6, 5, 9, 3, 12, 1, 15, ... has two different series

1) 3, 6, 9, 12, 15.....

2) 7, 5, 3, 1, .....

-1 is the next number.

Let the sum be Rs. x

a. gives, S.I = Rs. 9000 and time = 9 years.

b. gives, Sum + S.I for 6 years = 2 x Sum

--> Sum = S.I for 6 years.

Now, S.I for 9 years = Rs. 9000

S.I for 1 year = Rs. 9000/9 = Rs. 1000.

S.I for 6 years = Rs. (1000 x 6)= Rs. 6000.

--> x = Rs. 6000

Thus, both a and b are necessary to answer the question.

Here the given number series is 3, 14, 36, 67, 113, 168

It follows a pattern that

3 + 1 x 11 = 3 + 11 = 14

14 + 2 x 11 = 14 + 22 = 36

36 + 3 x 11 = 36 + 33 = 69

69 + 4 x 11 = 69 + 44 = 113

113 + 5 x 11 = 113 + 55 = 168

Hence, the wrong number is 67.

From statement B, 

As the value of L = 0, the value of KL = 0.

Hence only statement B is sufficient.

Here the given series is 128, 32, 14, 2.66, 0.88

128 / 4 = 32

32 / 3 = 10.666

10.666 / 4 = 2.666

2.666 / 3 = 0.888

Hence, the odd man in the given number series is 14.
