The Swadeshi movement is the first movement launched against the British in India started in the year 1905. It is part of the Indian independence movement and the developing Indian nationalism was an economic strategy aimed at removing the British Empire from power and improving economic conditions in India by following the principles of swadeshi and which had some success.
Woodrow Wilson was referring to the liberal idea of the economic market when he said that the free enterprise system is the (much) efficient economic system.
