The Infantry Regiment is also known as the Mechanised Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army. Though its aggregate size, it is closer to that or a full mechanised division with 26 mechanised battalions.

Indian Army Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers are an arms and service branch of Indian Army having varied responsibilities of design, development, trial, inspection and refit of weapon systems and equipment.
