Answer

Finance person in his department = 26
IT persons in his department = 18
Finance person in his section = 16
IT persons in his section = 8
Total in his section = 16+8 = 24
Total people in his depatment = 26+18 = 44
only 15 people in his dept are not in his sec
and 44-24 = 20
so 20-15 = 5 people belong to both finance and IT


Answer 1)  is 'C'.  


IT persons in his department = 18(total IT) - 8(section) - 5(both) = 5


Answer 2) is 'B'  


Finance persons not in his section = 26 - 16 = 10
