List of fundamental duties of the citizens of India in Article 51A of the Indian Constitution :

11. who is a parent or guardian , to provide opportunities for education to his child, or as the case may be, ward between the age of six and fourteen years.

‘Instead’ is used as an alternative or substitute and is not relevant in this context. ‘Nevertheless’ will be used as it means ‘inspite of that’. Thus, the correct formation would be, ‘This scooter is not as efficient as it used to be; nevertheless it is still a very useful machine.

Rejuvenation occurs when the river’s base level falls (i.e. when sea level falls). This can be a consequence of either a fall in the amount of sea water or the land rising.
